I just saw on CNN that U.S. banks are considering capping the daily spending limit on debit cards to like $50 or $100.

What a bunch of BS! If they really did that, I can't even begin to image the amount of people that would be pissed off (including us merchants). I mean, not everyone has a credit card (especially since the financial meltdown). And now their debit card will be capped at $50-$100 per day! How are they supposed to make large purchases. It's like the banks are encouraging people to go back to cash and paper checks! Unfortunately those aren't very good options for online merchants.
