First time at t in the park?

I plan on buying a ticket to t in the park tomorrow when they go on general sale but I'm a festival virgin so don't really know what to expect or what to take with me etc?

Also are your bags searched upon entry to the campsite? I'm underage but still want to be able to drink etc so would my bags be checked and any alcohol be confiscated? Any advice really would be nice?
